Life's Journey with Science on Our Side
What is Artificial Insemination?
Since the dawn of humanity, the conception of a new life has always been
seen as a miracle – a mystery wrapped in poetry, hope and expectation.
However, for many, this natural process encounters barriers that, over
time, science has learned to overcome. Artificial insemination has
emerged as an innovative answer for those who dream of building a family
but face challenges that prevent natural conception.
Artificial insemination is, in essence, an assisted reproduction technique
that facilitates the meeting of the sperm with the egg, increasing the
chances of fertilization. Imagine a carefully constructed bridge, connecting
two points that, for natural or circumstantial reasons, cannot meet alone.
How does it work?
The semen is collected, prepared and introduced directly into the woman's
uterus or vaginal canal during the ovulation period, when the chances of
success are greater.
Unlike in vitro fertilization (IVF), in artificial insemination the meeting of
sperm and egg still takes place inside the female body, simulating the
natural process, but with a crucial little help from medical technology.
