The Author Freely self-publishing platform is a large and complex digital infrastructure that interfaces with Australian print capability, and we can see that it needs some further refining.

In 2026, we plan to restart development and focus on:

• Improving the website usability. Having heard your feedback, we will be working to resolve the various issues authors encountered in using the site.
• New print arrangements that will provide more cost-competitive and the timely printing and delivery of books.
