The American Civil War, which took place between April 12, 1861 and May 26, 1865, took place in the United States between the Union (“the North”) and the Confederacy (“the South”), which was formed in 1861 by states that had seceded from the former. During its four years, the Confederacy asserted its independence and appointed dozens of diplomatic agents abroad. The Confederacy’s greatest foreign policy successes were with Cuba and Brazil. Once the war with the United States began, the Confederacy placed its greatest hopes of survival in a military intervention by the United Kingdom and/or France. In the development of the war simulation, I will use the board game “For the People” by GMT Games. In this Volume III of my book American Civil War, I dedicate myself more to presenting a historical simulation of a probable Alien (Foreign) Intervention.
