The Island Revolution is a portrait of the political landscape of an imaginary place, but one that could also be real, in which the author converses with other literary works, presenting elements of the past, the present, and a fictional future where the old clashes between socialism and capitalism are present, dividing more than just opinions. The beautiful island of Vera Cruz has suffered from corruption since its earliest days, and now a new political system emerges that promises to resolve the situation in the nation. The people, who had already lost hope in traditional politicians, see this as a ray of hope, but the dream of freedom turns into a greater tragedy, handing Vera Cruz over to a tyrannical dictator. It is at this moment that a young former militant of the new doctrine rebels against the very ideas he defended in the past and becomes the great liberator of the island.
