The series of books is a guide for practical classes on the method of "musical movement". The books are designed for studying musical movement in a group with a leader, as well as for independent mastering for almost all ages (6 - 60+ years). This method was developed in Russia at the very beginning of the 19th century (1914) by highly educated women, graduates of the "Higher Women's Courses".
The method was formed under the influence of the ideas of free dance of Isadora Duncan, rhythmic gymnastics of Dalcroze, the system of expressiveness, plasticity, gesture and body culture of Delsarte and the psychological analysis of musical emotions of the development of artistic abilities of Vygotsky.
The first two books are designed for simultaneous use for work according to this method. They describe in detail:
- preparatory exercises without music for mastering the principles of natural movement (with exercise figures)
(Book 1);
- musical movement images, i.e. exercises to music (Books 1 and 2), (with notes and exercise figures);
- lesson structure and recommendations for composing lessons (Book 2).
